Data transparency
How match information reaches STARBUzz.
A plain-language explanation of the source, availability, refresh, and correction rules behind this website.
Source and coverage
STARBUzz retrieves cricket information through a server-side connection to the Sportmonks Cricket API. The data provider owns its data. Match availability depends on the provider’s response and the connected plan; STARBUzz does not claim universal cricket coverage.
Provider credentials remain on the server. Your browser does not contact the provider directly.
From retrieval to display
- STARBUzz requests eligible match data from the provider using a protected server credential.
- The server validates and normalizes supported fields into a consistent internal match format.
- Validated snapshots are shared across visitors to avoid an upstream request for every visitor.
- The page shows only information that is actually available in the returned record.
Freshness and refresh
On active views, the browser may check the STARBUzz backend about every 9 seconds while the page is visible. That is a website-check target, not a claim that the provider changes its score on the same schedule.
Fixture and result views refresh less frequently. During a provider fault, a page may show a clearly labelled last validated snapshot where permitted, or an unavailable message instead of substitute match data.
Optional match details
Scores, innings, venue, batting, bowling, lineups, toss details, and other fields can be optional. STARBUzz displays these only if the provider returns them. A missing score or lineup is not inferred.
If you believe a provider-returned record needs review, please use the contact route and select Match-data correction. Do not send passwords, payment-card details, API keys, or government identifiers.
